Patiala/Kapurthala, 11 August 2026: Namdhari SA and Dalbir FA played out a goalless draw, while International FC secured a late victory over RCF FC in the Punjab State Super Football League (PSL) on Monday.
At Patiala, Namdhari SA, one of the formidable sides in the IFL, were held to a 0-0 draw by Dalbir FA in a closely contested first-round encounter. Both teams created scoring opportunities during the match, but neither could find the decisive finish. The respective custodians also made important saves to keep the game goalless, and both sides had to settle for a point each.
At Kapurthala, International FC secured a 2-0 victory over RCF FC after a goalless first half. The visitors broke the deadlock in the 87th minute through Harjit Singh, who put International FC ahead late in the game.
RCF FC pushed for an equaliser, but International FC sealed the result in stoppage time when Abhishek Singh scored in the 90+2nd minute to make it 2-0. The late double ensured International FC walked away with all three points from their opening PSL fixture.
